Cutting Boards

Our cutting boards are crafted using high-quality hardwood from Australia and North America, all handmade in Sydney, Australia.

Our end grain boards feature American Walnut with inlays in Canadian Rock Maple and other species for a pop of colour. Each board is carefully crafted in-house and typically takes 5-10 days to complete.

The end surface of the wood is firmer and more durable. The hardness of the end surface is almost one and a half times that of the side surface. In addition due to its wood fibre structure, an end grain chopping board has a kind of self-healing property. When the knife makes contact with the surface of the board, it cuts between the fibres. The vertical wood fibres are better for your knives, keeping them sharp for longer.

All boards have a unique grain pattern, no boards will be the same and the end grain all different variations in the timber adds to the character of the board.

Each board is crafted for its intended purpose and treated with food safe pure mineral oil, coconut oil and finally polished with a few layers of beeswax.
