How to Order a Custom Board

Our custom end grain cutting boards are meticulously crafted with precision CNC cutting for both the base and inlay. For our end grain boards, we typically use American black walnut in the base and Canadian rock maple for the inlay (for best contrast), but we can also work with other types of wood as desired depending on customer preference and availability. 

All boards have a unique grain pattern, no boards will be the same and the end grain all different variations in the timber adds to the character of the board.

We can also do custom face grain boards with desired wood options. 

All boards will be treated with food safe pure mineral oil and coconut oil and is carefully polished with a few layers of beeswax before shipping.

Beyond custom size and wood inlays, we offer laser engraved names and logos for further personalisation.  

Approximate Cost of Custom Boards:

• For an end grain board at a size of 485 x 305 x 50mm (our standard size) with a simple design, starting price is about A$750 + shipping.
• For other sizes and more complex inlays (including multiple species of wood) the price guide is from A$1500 + shipping.
• Personalized face grain boards without inlays begin at $350 + shipping.
